A simple guide to staying warm

You don’t always need another heavy layer.

Start by keeping your core comfortably warm, then add small layers where you feel the cold most. Wrists, neck, hands and head are easy places to add warmth, and easy to adjust as your day or the temperature changes.

WRISTS
A surprisingly effective place to start. Wristwarmers / armwarmers add warmth without covering your fingers, so they’re easy to wear indoors, at work and throughout the day.

NECK
Feeling a chill? Add a neckwarmer or light scarf. It’s an easy layer to put on and take off as you move between indoors and outside.

HEAD
For colder days, a beanie adds another small layer of warmth without needing to change everything you’re wearing.

HANDS
When the cold really reaches your fingers, add gloves or mittens. Our lightweight wool gloves are made for warmth without unnecessary bulk.

The country leads the world in humane and sustainable farming practices, ensuring animal welfare and environmental care.

Our merino wool is blended with mulberry silk and New Zealand possum fibre for a soft, luxurious feel and remarkable warmth. Possums, an introduced pest, threaten native forests — so using their fibre helps protect New Zealand’s natural ecosystem.

Japan’s winters are cold and weather patterns are shifting. Wool keeps you warmer than synthetic fabrics with fewer layers. It also needs less washing—wool resists odour and freshens easily with a simple airing, saving water and energy. Many of our customers wear their hats and scarves all season, washing them only before storage.
