At North South Stewart, sustainability isn’t a trend — it’s how we choose to work.

Our products are made in New Zealand from natural, renewable fibres: merino wool, possum fibre, and mulberry silk. These materials are warm, soft, and biodegradable — designed to last for years, not just one season.

Merino wool grows back naturally after shearing and needs less washing, saving water and energy.
Possum fibre comes from an introduced species that threatens New Zealand’s native forests — using it helps reduce waste and supports conservation.
Mulberry silk adds strength and softness to the blend.

We import in small, carefully chosen batches each year to avoid overproduction and waste. Our packaging is simple, recyclable, and always under review for improvement.

ノースサウス・スチュワートでは、サステナビリティ（持続可能性）は流行ではなく、日々の選択の積み重ねだと考えています。

私たちの製品はニュージーランドでつくられた天然で再生可能な繊維 ― メリノウール、ポッサムファイバー、そしてシルク ― を使用しています。どれも暖かく柔らかく、土に還る素材。流行に左右されず、長く使えるようにデザインされています。

メリノウールは刈り取った後に自然に再生し、洗濯の回数も少なくてすみ、水やエネルギーの節約につながります。
ポッサムファイバーはニュージーランドの森林を脅かす外来種から得られる繊維で、廃棄を減らし自然保護にも役立ちます。
シルクは繊維を強くし、なめらかさを加えます。

私たちは毎年、少量ずつ厳選したアイテムだけを輸入し、過剰生産を避けています。パッケージもできる限りシンプルでリサイクル可能なものを使用し、改良を続けています。

本当のサステナビリティとは、必要なものを丁寧に選び、大切に使い続けること。
それが、私たちのものづくりの基本です。
